The kids were trembling in their shoes as they were sticking to each other. As the teacher grasped the cane walking towards the innocent kids who buried themselves deeper into the bench, so inhuman was the teacher.
A child's world is so sweet and full of happiness but it starts getting bitter as they become older and older. In such age, children must be taught kindly by the teacher but as in today's schools, little kids get badly treated and canned for no reason. There is one such case that I read in the newspaper and my eyes were full of tears when I finished reading it.
7-YEAR OLD MADE TO SIT ON CLASS FLOOR FOR SIX MONTHS.
You are probably thinking 'whats the big deal', but it is a big issue. For a kid, to see his friends sitting on the benches murmuring and sharing laughs... It can be damn hard.
The teachers of that school had an impression about seven year old- Uday that he was a very naughty kid where as he wasn't but he was having Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder which is a problem that goes unnoticed and such children get distracted easily and cannot sit in one place and of course, you know how a teacher thinks.. He was branded as 'naughty'.
The teachers made ridiculous comments about Uday's parents which had a deep effect on him. Is this what teachers teach children? They gave him stupid nicknames and made him suffer mentally.
Uday had told his mother Kaveri about this who thought it is Uday's mischievous behaviour resulting in punishments. He complained his mother for some period and she didn't believe him, so he stopped complaining.
She even once requested the teacher to not treat her child in such manner but the teacher never listened!
Now the poor lad is in a serious state now. Thanks to teachers.
What are your thoughts about this? What do you think should be done to avoid such things in future? This is not the only case that happened. I can name hundreds.

ReplyDeleteyeah there are rude teachers like these but I had and I have some wonderful teacher who actually helps you to build your character.If there are different kind of people in the world there will be different kind of teachers too, we just have to live with it.

but what options do the students have?
Good teachers who help you is like 1 in 100 and its not easy to search for them.
Our only hope lies in FUTURE TEACHERS who are students right now. They'll know the pain of their friends now to make sure that they dont make other children suffer it too..!!
I saw a news report in which a kid attacked a student by a blade bcz she wont let him cheat, so you cant say that only students are victims, teachers can be victims too though that is less likely becoz teachers are the ones who are at a higher authoritative position. The kids who suicide becoz of their teachers in my opinion are assholes who cant live through difficult situations, they dont have the spirit thus they chose the easy way out, but the thing in ur blog post abt an 8 year old being punished like that is infuriating, 8 year olds are still formulating their opinions about their world and their personality is still growing and developing, they are bound to act in such ways.
