A deadly chemical element- Chlorine

Chlorine is the chemical element with atomic number 17 and symbol Cl. It is a halogen, found in the periodic table in group 17.

Not a single reader would like to read the above sentence as it prevails the dullness brought out in the classroom by the chemistry teacher.
Unfortunately, knowing chemistry is essential in our life and it is our duty to know.

Chlorine is one of those many reasons causing health problems. In what way, that is to be understood.

1) It's a toxigenic gas which might damage the respiratory system.
2) It reacts with certain materials causing flame.
3) I am certain about it as I've googled (A synonym for study) and it appeared that idiots believed it to be a water purifier where as it was as toxic as taking a sip from the 'Modern' Ganges. It can damage your blood vessels etc. In short: ''You're screwed.''
4) It is common for chlorine being used in swimming pools. But it can cause allergies like coughs, rashes, itching etc. Well, good news for them with hydro phobia who never had the guts to to enter into the pool.
5) Can cause cancer.

If a thought that 'this is all just a joke' crosses any of my reader's mind, let me make sure that you clear it:
1) Asthma linked with indoor swimming pools: Chlorine exposure could be a factor, European scientists say" from Journal of Occupational and Environmental medicine.
2)Two workers hospitalized after chlorine spill: Overwhelmed with fumes from chlorine treated water.

The list goes on but I write in limits fancying the fact that I can keep on writing about this the whole day. As for in short, it can be said that it is harmful in every darn way.

As for my fellow bloggers, all I want to ask you is spread the awareness and open the people's eyes making them realize the dangers of chlorine as it would do good to humanity.

My followers might be thinking why I am posting about chemistry as they know that I strongly loathe chemistry. The answer is
Indiblogger, a website which decides an Indian blogger's rank and stats. It has asked its users to post about Chlorine in their blog and the reason why I do it is for the people to know and be safe and also for the rank's sake for which I believe is the very reason that every user is posting about this topic also creating an awareness.

You're doing a great job,
Indiblogger. Hats off! This article would help many many people and stay far from this deadly chemical element known as- Chlorine.
